Bobrisky, who was arrested on Thursday, spent the night in custody after failing to meet his bail conditions.

The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed Bobrisky's appearance before Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The charges against Bobrisky include four counts of Naira abuse and two counts of alleged money laundering.

Bobrisky has been a subject of controversy in the Nollywood industry, particularly after receiving the "Best Dressed Female" award, which sparked division among Nollywood actors.

The premiere of the movie 'Ajakaju: Beast of Two Worlds' where Bobrisky received the award was attended by several industry stakeholders, including Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Sola Sobowale, Regina Chukwu, Denrele Edun, Wumi Toriola, Jumoke Odetola, and Adekola Tijani, among others. However, the award presentation later became controversial, questioning Bobrisky's credibility.

The charges against Bobrisky include allegations of tampering with sums of money at various social events, failure to submit declarations of activities for his company, Bob Express, and money laundering offenses. If convicted for money laundering, Bobrisky could face imprisonment for a term of not less than four years but not more than fourteen years, or a fine not less than five times the value of the proceeds of the crime, or both.
