Britney Spears has finalized her divorce from her third husband, Hesam 'Sam' Asghari, following a nine-month legal separation and a marriage of only 14 months.

It was reported that the 42-year-old Grammy winner and the 30-year-old actor from Special Ops: Lioness are awaiting the judge's approval on the completed divorce paperwork filed by her attorney, Laura Wasser.

Sam and his lawyer, Neal Hirsh, opted not to contest the prenuptial agreement, which safeguards Britney's reported $60 million fortune.

Earlier reports from the outlet suggested that Spears was covering Asghari's rent at his new place and planned to give him a six-figure sum, although these details remain unclear.

There were rumors that the Hold Me Closer singer had been unfaithful to Asghari with a member of her staff at her $11.8 million Calabasas mansion. He was also once seen with a black eye and bite marks on his arm amid allegations of domestic abuse.

Spears confirmed their separation last December, expressing her feelings about being single and reflecting on her experiences, including realizing she hasn't been kind to herself and is easily influenced.

Britney and Sam got married on June 9, 2022, in a star-studded ceremony at her former Thousand Oaks mansion.

In her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me, Spears wrote about her appreciation for Asghari's stability and his abstention from drinking, referring to him as a "gift from God."

Asghari expressed his pride in Spears' tell-all memoir, saying, "That made me smile, to be honest. I'm freaking proud of her. I hope she takes over the world."
