During an Instagram live session, Nigerian singer Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, explained his decision to not participate in online giveaways, stating that he views it as a way to seek attention.

He stressed that he prefers not to engage in such activities because he believes that Instagram and social media users do not hold real significance.

He said, speaking in Pidgin, “Me I no dey do all this una Instagram stuff

"I do giveaway to places that really matter, to people that really need it and most of them are not on the internet."
