Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed a man, Sunday Oshowe, in Owevwe community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. The incident occurred on Tuesday night, October 10, 2023.

A family source revealed that Sunday, also known as Oshowebino, was shot dead by the gunmen, who also kidnapped the wife of the community president. The motive for the attack is not yet known, but security agencies are investigating the incident.

Owevwe community has been experiencing a spate of insecurity in recent months, with several attacks being carried out by gunmen.
