Izzy Sniper, a corps member, has taken to social media to vent his frustration after receiving his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) allowance, which remained unchanged despite the recent passage of the N70,000 minimum wage bill by the Nigerian Senate.

Sniper had anticipated receiving the new allowance amount of N77,000 but was disappointed to find out he was paid only N33,000.

In a post on an NYSC online community on Facebook, Sniper expressed his disappointment and frustration with the federal government for not implementing the new minimum wage increase for corps members. His post highlights the discrepancy between the expected and actual allowance, sparking a conversation about the government's implementation of the new minimum wage policy.

He wrote:

“I just received 33k this morning 😔😔.

“Thought we were supposed to receive 77k we the passing out corpers…Why FG do us like this na😥.”
