DJ Switch Faces Legal Action for assaulting female police officers After Alleged Scam Encounter

A police source speaking to LIB revealed that DJ Switch visited the police on Monday, April 15, in Elemoro, Ajah, to report a man who she alleges scammed her. The individual was detained by the police on the same day, according to authorities.

Since it is illegal to detain an accused person for more than 48 hours, the police source stated that DJ Switch was subsequently invited on April 17 to determine her preferred course of action—whether she wanted the accused person charged in court or released on bail.

The insider disclosed that DJ Switch expressed her desire for the accused to issue an apology, which she planned to record and publish online. However, the accused reportedly refused to comply. With neither party willing to compromise, the police decided to escalate the matter to court.

The police source alleged that DJ Switch used her car to block the station's entrance and purportedly assaulted the female officers assigned to the case as they were preparing to escort the accused to court.

Consequently, she was taken into custody on charges of assaulting police officers, resisting arrest, and obstructing law enforcement in the line of duty. Following her appearance in court, DJ Switch was remanded in jail.

DJ Switch is currently being transported to the Eti-Osa Magistrate Court to face charges of assaulting and obstructing police officers in the performance of their duties.
