Federal High Court in Lagos adjourns the trial of Nigerian musician Naira Marley

On Monday, a Federal High Court in Lagos adjourned the trial of Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, who is accused of cybercrime, until November 13 and 30.

The case was adjourned due to Naira Marley's absence from court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting Naira Marley on charges of cybercrime. The EFCC alleged that Naira Marley and his accomplices conspired to use various Access Bank ATM cards to defraud their victims.

According to a report from Shegzeblog, Nigerian artiste Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, was allegedly murdered by Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, in Lagos. However, the accused was absent from court on Monday, despite the court's order for his appearance.

In response, the prosecutor stated that she had requested a production warrant for the defendant but that he was still not present. As a result, the court adjourned the case until November 13 and 30 for the trial to continue.
