A former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, is mourning the loss of his son, Muhammed, who passed away on Wednesday morning, April 10, after Eid prayers.

Muhammed reportedly collapsed at his residence in Abuja.

His elder brother, Abubakar Idris, confirmed the tragic news to Punch, stating, "He died this morning shortly after returning to his residence after Eid prayers. He will be buried on Wednesday at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja." Muhammed served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011.
