Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, arrived in Osogbo, Osun State on Friday for a three-day working visit to the state, known as the "state of the living spring."

According to a statement from his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, the former President arrived in Osogbo around 5:30 pm, accompanied by his wife, Bola, as well as associates Chief Oyewole Fasawe and Olagoke Olubusi.

He was welcomed by the State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kola Adewusi, and other senior government officials at the new Presidential Lounge within the State Government House, Osogbo. One of the key events during his visit was the formal installation as the Asiwaju Ede of Ede land, coinciding with the Governor’s birthday on Monday, in Ede, the ancient town.

The governor hosted the former President and his entourage to a dinner at the new edifice.
