The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reported the death of another pilgrim in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

This announcement was made by the Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team in a statement released to the press on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

The board's Executive Chairman, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, identified the deceased as Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area. Abdullahi passed away after a brief illness.

Governor Nasir Idris expressed his shock and sorrow over the death, offering prayers for Abdullahi's forgiveness and admittance into Jannatul Firdaus. He also urged the deceased's family, friends, and fellow Kebbi pilgrims to accept the will of God with patience and faith.

Aliyu-Enabo noted that Abdullahi was buried according to Islamic rites following his funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday.

It is noteworthy that another pilgrim, Tawalkatu Busare Alako from the Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State, also passed away on May 27, 2024, after a brief illness.
