In Ondo state, Nigeria, reports have surfaced that eight members of a church, who were travelling to a burial ceremony, have been kidnapped.

The incident reportedly took place on Friday afternoon around 3pm, when the victims' vehicle was allegedly ambushed and they were abducted at gunpoint.
A church member told news outlets that the victims were travelling to the ceremony when they were attacked.
The police have been informed of the incident and are said to be investigating the matter.
However, the police spokesperson for the state, Funmi Odunlami, has said that the victims' whereabouts are still unknown.
