In Nasarawa State, two women, Rashida Umar and Rukaiya Ladan, have been arrested for allegedly supplying weapons to bandits.

The women were apprehended at the 177 Gds Bn CP in Akwanga following credible intelligence on the movement of arms smugglers carrying firearms from Fadan Karshe in Sanga LGA to Akwanga.

The suspects were allegedly on their way to deliver over 1,000 rounds of 7.62mm x 39mm special ammunition to an arms dealer in Kontagora, Niger State.
