Rapper 50 Cent has refuted accusations of rape and physical abuse made by his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy. The denial follows Joy's Instagram Story post responding to allegations in Lil Rod's lawsuit against Diddy, where Joy was implicated as one of Diddy's sex workers.

In her post, Joy criticized 50 Cent for making light of the situation and accused him of raping and physically assaulting her during their relationship.

In a lengthy post, Joy addressed 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson, saying, "Everything is a joke to you until our safety is compromised, which is happening now. You are wreaking real havoc, frenzy, and chaos onto people’s lives. How would you feel if Sire was the one in handcuffs? For nothing."

She also expressed frustration over 50 Cent's lack of involvement in their son's life despite living close by, stating, "We moved to New York to give you the opportunity to be a father to your son and you saw him 10 times out of the 2 years that we lived 1 mile away from you. I am tired of upholding and protecting an image to our son that you have never even earned."

Joy concluded her post by accusing 50 Cent of raping and physically abusing her and stating that she would no longer protect his image to their son, as he had "broken [their] hearts for the last and final time."

In response, a representative for 50 Cent issued a statement denying the allegations and emphasizing his commitment to protecting their son, Sire. The statement read, "The disturbing allegations in the sworn pleadings recently filed in a court case related to Daphne Joy, the mother of my twelve-year-old child, has required me to take all necessary legal actions to protect my son Sire. The most recent false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son. My son Sire is my main priority, and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time."

The allegations against 50 Cent surfaced after reports that he was seeking sole custody of Sire following Joy's involvement in Lil Rod's lawsuit against Diddy, where she was accused of receiving financial compensation for sex work with the music mogul.

50 Cent and Daphne Joy began dating in 2011 and welcomed their son, Sire, in 2012, but their relationship ended shortly after.
