The Super Eagles have finally broken their streak of 15 friendlies without a win, after thrashing Mozambique 3-2 in an international friendly on Tuesday, October 18.

Terem Moffi, Frank Onyeka and Moses Simon were all on target for the three-time African champions, who were led by Portuguese manager Jose Peseiro. Mozambique staged a spirited comeback in the second half, but only managed to score twice against an uninspired Super Eagles side.
This win was the first international friendly victory for the Nigerian national team since beating Egypt in March 2019.
