Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has shared that her journey into music began because of a crush she had on a man often seen with artists.

Tiwa made this revelation during a recent interview with MTV Live while promoting her latest movie project, "Water and Garri."

Tiwa Savage, known for her music, recently ventured into Nollywood with her debut in a new movie titled "Water and Gari."

The movie, "Water and Garri," is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video. Produced by Everything Savage and Unbound Studios, the film is directed by Meji Alabi and adds to Prime Video Nigeria's expanding collection of top-notch Nollywood content.

Tiwa Savage admitted that while acting was her initial passion, she chose to pursue music to be closer to her crush.

She said; “I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.’”
