The Federal Government has set a new timeline of two weeks for the issuance of passports to eligible applicants.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who also revealed that the ministry was working towards making passport issuance a seamless exercise.

He also said that Nigerians in the diaspora would soon be able to renew their passports online.

These new initiatives are aimed at ensuring that passport applicants get their documents in a timely manner and with minimal hassle.
