The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has responded to allegations that a lecturer, Dr. Kadiri Akeem Babalola, raped a female undergraduate student in his office.
The alleged incident occurred on August 16th, when the student visited the lecturer's office to discuss an issue with her grades.
The student reported the incident to a non-governmental organization, who alleges that the lecturer committed sexual assault.
The University of Lagos has responded to allegations of sexual assault against one of its lecturers, Dr. Kadiri Akeem Babalola.
The case was reported to the Lagos State Police Command's Gender Unit by a non-governmental organization (NGO), and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police issued a warrant for Dr. Kadiri's arrest.
The police spokesperson confirmed that the lecturer has been arrested and will be facing charges in court in the coming days.
