A University of Ilorin-bound commercial bus driver named Lukman has tragically passed away while transporting students to the campus, leaving passengers in shock. According to reports, a fellow passenger took control of the moving bus after realizing the driver had collapsed, preventing a potential disaster.

Detailing the incident in a widely circulated WhatsApp message, the witness recounted how he intervened as the bus veered off course following the driver's sudden death. He explained that despite sitting in the front distracted by reading the Quran on his phone, he managed to apply the brakes, bring the bus to a stop, and ultimately save his fellow passengers from harm.

Colleague Sulyman Malik expressed his disbelief at the news, noting that Lukman had recently discussed a past accident with him, emphasizing the unpredictability of life. Lukman was swiftly laid to rest following Islamic burial rites, with condolences pouring in for the deceased who was described as a young and vibrant individual.

University of Ilorin's Director of Information, Kunle Akogun, echoed sentiments of sorrow, labeling the incident as a tragic reminder of life's fleeting nature.
