The Lagos Police Command announced yesterday that its officers have arrested at least 428 suspected criminals in various known trouble spots across the state within a week.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, reported that officers conducted raids around 11:15 am each day.

Suspects were apprehended in areas such as Fagba, Orile, Mile-2, Oshodi, Dopemu, Alausa, and Ijora Badia.

Hundeyin mentioned that the operations were carried out by area commands, divisions, and tactical teams, including the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

He added that after the arrests, the innocent were released, while those found guilty will be charged in court.

Last month, the Lagos police reported arresting 1,802 suspects during similar raids on different trouble spots over a two-week period.
