A fire at a residential structure in the Adealu neighborhood of Lagos State early on Monday morning has left one person dead.

This was revealed by Margaret Adeseye, the director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, in a statement 

The head of the Lagos Fire Service said that although the fire covered the upper floor of a four-story building, emergency personnel' prompt action helped to contain its spread.

Nevertheless, when rescue personnel arrived on the scene, one adult male victim who has not yet been identified was believed to have dead in the fire.
